Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy is commonly used to address several forms of hair thinning and hair loss, particularly when the hair follicle is still active. This includes genetic or hereditary hair loss (androgenetic alopecia), age-related thinning, postpartum hair shedding, stress-related hair loss, and hair thinning associated with rapid weight loss or metabolic changes, including GLP-1–related hair loss. PRP works by supporting follicle health and stimulating growth factors that encourage thicker, stronger hair over time.
PRP hair restoration is effective for both women and men. Treatment plans are customized based on individual patterns of hair loss, underlying causes, and aesthetic goals, making PRP a versatile option across genders.
PRP is derived from your own blood, which significantly reduces the risk of allergic reaction or rejection. Most patients tolerate the treatment very well.
